How to Create the Perfect Morning Routine

Here we love the mornings. It’s a chance to get your day off to the best possible start which can only lead to positive vibes at the end of the day.

We know that mornings aren’t everyone’s cup of tea – some days it takes everything we have to drag ourselves out of bed. However, we believe, it’s all about having a positive mindset and creating a ritual for each day that gets you excited for the AM.

Here are some of our favourite ways to get up and get going in the morning – we call it our ‘Morning Beauty Ritual’.

Drink water first thing

While it might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you first wake up, drinking a glass of water straight away not only helps to open your eyes, it also acts as a wake-up call to your body.

It works to flush out any toxins that have built up throughout the night and helps to kick-start your metabolism for the day. For an extra boost, we like to add a squeeze of lemon.

Eat a healthy and wholesome breakfast

We know you’re aware of how important a meal breakfast is – yet it’s amazing how many people skip this crucial meal.

Fuelling your body with the right food in the morning can affect the rest of the day so it’s important to do it right. Fill your plate with multiple colours of fresh foods such as fruits, grains, and protein. Try poached egg with smashed avocado on toast to start ticking all the boxes.



Indulge in your skincare ritual

Skin care is not just a night-time routine! We’re strong believers in making caring for our skin a simple and enjoyable regime – not a time-consuming chore. Each morning, we cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate, nourish and enrich our skin to ensure it is at its optimum level. Plus, preparing your skin first thing will improve your makeup’s longevity and keep your protected from any harmful pollutants throughout the day.

Savour your ‘me-time’

We can’t help but notice how much it easier it is to enjoy your mornings when you have something to look forward to. Whether it be some gentle yoga and stretching, sitting down with a good book for half an hour or simple scrolling through some of your favourite Instagram accounts – it’s important to allow yourself time to enjoy in the morning.

Mindfulness is an important part of this as it allows you to be in the moment, reconnecting with yourself and setting aside any worries for a while. Stress can have a significant effect on your skin, leaving you feeling lacklustre.

Invest in some ‘me-time’ in the morning and set your day off to a positive start – your skin will thank you for it!
